Hull University Photography Society

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everybody who pitched in today to make our first ever fair stall a huge success! If you chatted with us at the fair and wish to join, please don’t hesitate to come to the informal meeting (details below) and sign your name down and chill out with us and talk about photography / your course / why Canons are superior to Nikons.

Our exposure as a society has hugely increased and even have interest from an older gentleman turned history student who has been taking snaps since he was fifteen. I hope he can give us all a few lessons, tutorials or pointers along the way.

We have formed a verbal alliance with the history society too, with the possibility of sharing transport with them when they go head out to history-ey places, which will lead to some absolutely rivveting conversation about why Nikon DSLRs are better than William Wilberforce.

After the student union mulling it over, we are an official society! Three big cheers for HUPS!

We’ve already had two informal meets and it’s about time we have a formal meet to get a few things sorted and possibly make this society a little more structured!

Meet in Teaching Room 3 in the Brynmor Jones Library at 6.30PM on Thursday 29th November 2007.

If you know anybody who is interested in photography.. whether they’re good, or whether they’ve never picked up a camera but would love to learn, bring them along to join!
